Today you’ll learn what are the best juicers for celery.
I can’t lie. I’ve been on the celery juice bandwagon for awhile.
Fun fact:
I also spent more than 40 hours fussing with Judy from Walmart customer service because my juicing machine broke.
I know first hand juicing celery stalks are very fibrous and stringy making them tricky to juice.
Buying the wrong cold press juicer could leave you with sloppy mess.
Mistakes were made. Keep reading so you don’t make the same ones.

What is there to say about the Omega MM900HDSJ? How about it’s one of the best juicers for celery, period. It produces one of the highest yields. The Medical Medium even endorsed this Omega celery juicer himself.
Chop up your celery stalks, feed them into the machine, and then, when you’re finished, cleanup time is lightning fast.

But it’s not all rainbows and sunshine.
The big drawback is that it was specifically made for celery and it won’t give you the best yield for other types of produce.
So if you plan on juicing other things such as oranges, fruits, or leafy greens, you should consider the next juicer.
Kuvings REVO830

After testing this juicer for months, this is hands down the best juicer for celery.
The Kuvings REVO830 is manufactured in Korea just like Samsung products, so the quality is insanely high. You no longer need to chop up your celery. It has a vertical feed chute and the new auger tech does all the chopping for you.
You’ll be able big batches of celery in a shorter period.

You can put other types of produce like oranges whole inside the juicer, saving you tons of prep time.
It’s a bit on the heavy side but ultra durable. You want to look for a cold press juicer that’s going to last, and this is it.
It also is one of the easiest to clean on this list. It’s even got a spout cap to prevent juice from dripping on your table. Kuvings pays attention to detail.
I’d highly recommend checking it out if you want to juice celery AND other types of produce.

In terms of celery, the Omega VSJ843 is only slightly less efficient, but if you plan on juicing other produce in the future, it gives you the best yield.
The VSJ spins the motor at 43 revolutions per minute (RPM) so it’s quiet and won’t wake anyone up when juicing in the morning.
There’s nothing worse than making big batches of celery juice and having it spill on your counter. Unlike the previous juicer, it comes with a spout cap, so you never have to worry.

The best feature on the Omega VSJ843 is its “auto-clean” function. To be honest, it isn’t 100% hands off because you’ll still need to wash the inner parts.
BUT…it makes it MUCH easier to clean than other juicers because it dislodges a lot of celery pulp that gets stuck in the juicing screen.
If you’re looking to juice celery but want the optionality to juice other produce efficiently, this is not the best but a solid juicer to go with.

The Omega NC800HDS performs almost as well as the MM900HDSJ.
It takes a little longer to juice, but the pulp that gets ejected comes out pretty dry.

It has more detachable parts and complex pieces, but you can clean it pretty quick.
I’d say if you’re serious about juicing and you want to expand your juicing into other fruits and vegetables, this is the machine you want.
Omega CNC80S

The Omega CNC800S is perfect for juicing celery in a small kitchen.
The cool part about this juicer is that it’s so compact you can take it with you and juice celery on the go. Whether you’re at work, road tripping or camping, you can bring your celery stalks with you and juice them.
You just have to make sure you have a power supply or an outlet to plug into.

It produces a high yield of celery juice but it leaves a tad more pulp in your glass.
At times, it can overheat from prolonged use, but it isn’t a deal breaker by any means.
For someone who wants to pay in the middle for a decent celery machine, give the CNC800S a try.
KOIOS

The KOIOS can do celery, no problem.
It won’t give you the highest yield, but for the price, you can’t beat it.
One downside is its short warranty and questionable durability. However, if you need something cheap just to kick, start your new celery juice journey, it’s worth looking into.
Breville Compact Juice Fountain

The Breville Compact Juice Fountain is perfect for those who want to juice celery on a budget. It makes a cup of celery juice in less than 30 seconds and doesn’t take up a lot of space. Clean up isn’t too bad either.
The only issue I find with the Breville juicer is that the juice doesn’t last as long and the juice yield isn’t as good. Centrifugal juicers have this effect on not just celery juice but all other types of produce. It has to do with the extraction method of the juicer but that’s a whole other talk for a whole ‘nother day.
What Should You Look For When Buying a Celery Juicer?
Type of Juicer
Like we mentioned, slow juicers are the way to go here.
You want to make sure you’re getting the most nutritious juice possible.
When you use a centrifugal juicer, the heat and blades can ruin some of the nutrients.
Yield
Think about about your grocery bills each week.
Celery can be cheap but it adds up overtime.
You want to make sure you extracts as much juice as you possibly can.
For that, you’ll need an efficient celery juicer.
After some testing, I found that the Kuvings REVO830 had the highest yield at of all the juicers.
Clean Up Time
Celery pulp is actually pretty easy to clean depending on the juicer.
If you take the time and chop up your celery into tiny pieces, you should have no issues.
Machines like the REVO830 do the chopping for you.
However, for other juicers like the Omegas and cheaper models, you’ll need to chop up your celery stalks to prevent clogs.
Next you want to make sure that the brushes, and components are easy to reach.
Some juicers can get celery pulp get stuck in hard to reach places.
Chute Size
Chute size doesn’t matter much for celery.
However, for other fruits and vegetables having a wider chute is more convinient.
The Omegas have smaller openings compared to the Kuvings juicers.
Kuvings lets you juice whole apples and pears.
Noise
I’ve found that cheap juicers can make awful squeaking noises when it comes to juicing celery.
For many people, it’s not a dealbreaker.
However, lets say you’re juicing celery in the mornings, it can get quite loud and wake people up.
Just something to be aware of.
What Are The Benefits Of Drinking Celery Juice?

Celery has been all the craze. I figured I’d give it a shot after watching an interview with Anthony William who’s the author of the book medical medium.
You’ve got celebrities like Pharrell, Sylvester Stallone, Kim Kardashian, and many more drinking celery juice.
Health Benefits Of Celery Juice
According to WebMD, here are a few:
- Cancer Prevention
- Blood Pressure Management
- Alzheimer’s Disease Prevention and Treatment
- High number of antioxidants
For those who’ve tried the Medical Medium method, apparently, celery can have healing properties that potentially help with eczema, psoriasis, gout, acne, and diabetes.
Anthony Williams strikes me as a guy who’s a holistic healer rather than someone who uses scientific-based evidence to back up his claims.
But with all the success stories, there has to be some merit to this, right?
Disadvantages Of Drinking Celery Juice
Celery juice has about 200mg of sodium per 8-ounces. So if you’re someone on a low-sodium diet, you may want to watch your intake of celery juice.
There’s also some critique around the fiber. When you juice celery, you remove a lot of the non-soluble fiber.
Also drinking huge amounts of celery juice might give you digestive issues like diarrhea, gas and bloating. It also contains psoralens that can make your skin more sensitive to the sun and increase your risk of skin cancer.
Moderation is advised.
The NY times also wrote about Anthony Williams and some his claims here.
They asked nutritionists what they thought about Anthony Williams and many of them thought his claims were a bit outlandish.
I won’t get into everything they said, but I do think it’s important you have all the facts here so you can make an informed decision about celery juice.
Drinking Celery Juice For Acne Before And After
Kali Kushner drank celery juice on an empty stomach for 30 days. She was struggling with acne, and her skin was less than perfect.
Her before and after photos are astounding:

But it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Apparently, her acne had gotten worse the first week before it had gotten better. Her hyperpigmentation and scarring started to clear up around week 3.
According to the video, it took 4 weeks for her skin to completely clear up.
Drinking Celery Juice For Eczema Before And After
Jennifer had given birth to her daughter and then shortly after she had a flare up. It was so painful; she said she could barely bend her arms.
The doctor put her on topical steroids to help her symptoms. However, it wasn’t until she started drinking celery juice that her Eczema completely cleared up.
Here are the before and after photos:

As always, do your own research. Let’s talk about which type of juicer is the best for celery.
What Type Of Celery Juicer Is Best?
You’ve got two options for celery juice cleanses. You can either buy a slow masticating juicer or you can buy a fast centrifugal machine.
I know what you’re thinking, “whoa whoa whoa, slow down. Masticating, centrifugal, what the heck do those mean?”.
Masticating literally means to chew. Centrifugal means to move away from the center.
A slow masticating juicer chews, grinds and squeezes a fruit or vegetable.
A fast centrifugal juicer spins the fruit around in a circle really fast and shreds it almost like a blender.
So now that you know the difference. Let’s talk about the pros and cons of each.
Slow Juicers
These are some of the best juicers.
Slow juicers operate at slow speeds, 80 rotations per minute to be exact. Some of them do 43 rotations per minute.
The extraction happens with the auger. An auger is a corkscrew-like part that gets spun by the motor.
You toss the celery into the cold press juicer, the auger catches it and slowly squeezes the juice out of it.
The slow turning motor has numerous benefits. One, it’s quiet. Two, it produces less heat and forced air.
If there are two things that are terrible for juice, it’s heat and air. Heat ruins nutrients, destabilizes vitamins and destroys enzymes. The air causes it to oxidize.
Oxidation removes antioxidants. In case you didn’t know, antioxidants are powerful substances that prevent cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and slow aging.
If you strip a piece of fruit of fiber, nutrients, enzymes, and antioxidants, what are you left with? The answer is sugar water.
Long story short is that you get the most nutritional value out of a juice made from a slow juicer.
They let you refrigerate your juice for up to 3 days without spoiling.
They produce more juice with less produce.
Fast Juicers
Fast juicers spin at hyper speeds of up to 14,000 rotations per minute. They use discs that have sharp prongs on the bottom.
If you put celery into a fast centrifugal machine, it spins really fast and hits the sharp prongs, causing the juice to release.
It’s great if you want to make a fast cup of juice, but it’s not the best for nutrients, enzymes, and antioxidants.
The disc is cutting open the cell walls of your celery and because the juicer spins so fast; it creates a lot of air. You can even see it in the froth as you drink the juice.
These machines give off a lot of heat as well because they operate around 700+ watts. That means they have more electricity running through the motor coils.
The more watts you use and the longer electrons flow through a coil, the hotter the motor.
Fast juicers are cheaper. They also create more waste, so you might not get the highest yield of celery juice.
Last but not least, the juice can spoil in 24 hours, so it’s best to drink it right away.
You Can See The Difference In The Celery Juice

On the left is celery juice made from a slow masticating machine. On the right is celery juice from a fast centrifugal juicer.
As you can see, the juice on the left is a darker green color. That’s because it’s more nutrient-rich and contains less air.
The juice on the right is lighter, contains more froth and looks airier.
Which One Is Right For You?
Do you want the most out of your celery juice? Would you like to create large batches and store them in the fridge? Do you want to juice early in the morning or late at night without waking anyone up?
A slow masticating juicer is the right option to consider.
Do you want to get in and out of the kitchen as fast as possible? Are you on a tight budget?
A fast centrifugal juicer may be the better choice for celery juice.
